I was born when the Sun was in Taurus, which may explain my patience and practical approach to problems. I received my PhD in 1989, and since then I have worked in both scientific research and hands-on engineering. I have published several articles and books. I have also made several inventions, and their certificates hang on my office wall.
Today I focus on embedded electronics and measurement systems. I design microcontroller-based devices and work with GNSS, precision timing and synchronisation, and IoT telemetry. My projects include environmental, agricultural, optical and vibration-sensing prototypes. What they have in common is the goal of measuring the physical world reliably, precisely and at a reasonable cost. I work step by step, and I trust measurements and field tests more than assumptions. I am also involved in innovation projects, intellectual property and commercialisation.
Outside work, my hobby is science fiction, which keeps my imagination open to what technology might become.
